St. Mark's Church Restoration Shakopee, MN

Client St. Mark's Church Building St. Mark's Church is a 130+ year old historic building. Scope of Service Masonry Investigation Description Encompass began working with this building in the summer of 1997. Encompass completed a review and analysis of the exterior of the Church which revealed that a significant amount of repair would be required to restore the church to an acceptable and easily maintainable condition. In addition, Encompass evaluated the structural capabilities of the wooden roof trusses that support the main roof and interface with the masonry walls. Upon completing the existing conditions analysis, Encompass provided plans and specifications for the restorations of the Church. Encompass provided construction management/owner representation services throughout the entire restoration process. One of the major challenges to the restoration was the protection of the Church's numerous stained glass windows.
