Client Dakota County Building The Law Enforcement Center Project added approximately 24,000 square feet of inmate housing and related support services to the existing prison building. Scope of Service Contract Documentation and Construction Observation Description The addition is a 1-story, pre-cast structure with a brick and limestone veneer and fully adhered EPDM roof. Specific attention was also given to detailing issues associated with security windows and skylights. Construction costs totaled approximately $9 million dollars. Areas of service included were: Review of design/development construction documents as well as contract documents for exterior building envelope for performance criteria and conformance with Dakota County Sustainability standards Attendance at key project and progress meetings with the architects, engineer, and contractors Review of building envelope system submittals Periodic inspection of construction activities for adherence to the approved project design and accepted construction standards of practice as needed to establish an acceptable building envelope system Photo documentation of construction progress and final result
