Exterior Envelope Commissioning Services
Our goal is to ensure the long-term durability of your project. Our role is to assure every effort will be made to create an exterior envelope that will resist moisture intrusion, allow for differential movement, and reduce future maintenance costs. A licensed, professional engineer is assigned to manage all of our Professional Commissioning Projects. Included in our Commissioning Service:
  • Pre-bid review of bid documents for consistency with current/existing design and construction standards.
  • Attendance at key project and progress meetings with the Architects, Engineer, and Contractor.
  • Review of building systems including masonry, stonework, pre-cast concrete, windows, and roof system submittals.
  • Daily inspection of construction activities for adherence to the approved project design and accepted construction standards of practice, as needed, for foundation preparation, embeds, flashings, masonry, grout, pre-cast concrete, stone, concrete, terminations around window and other wall penetrations, expansion and control joints, caulking, high wall/low roof intersections, wall/roof terminations, connection to existing building, roofing component installation, and all other associated work to coordinate these systems.
  • Recommendation for exterior envelope component testing, types of tests, review of test results, and recommend any corrective actions directly to the owner.
  • Photo documentation of construction progress and final results.
  • Final inspection of complete exterior envelope.
  • Preparation and submission of final project report to owner.
